THANK YOU CHICAGO, LOUISVILLE AND FUR PEACERS!! Jim and I had a wonderful swing through the midwest, getting the chance to see many, many old friends and make a bunch of new ones. The highlight was our concert with Jack Casady at the Fur Peace Ranch Station where we were joined throughout our entire set by guitar guru G.E. Smith. What a thrill it was! Many thanks to: webmaster Ed Silha for his unparalleled "Chicago style" hospitality; to Jack Casady and G.E. Smith for the great jam; and of course to Jorma and Vanessa Kaukonen and all the Fur Peacers for the wonderful musical vibe.
MANY THANX TO THE "SPREAD THE MUSIC" FOUNDATION AND ALL THE FOLKS IN GRAND HAVEN MICHIGAN!! Jim and I had a great time at the workshops and concert. Keep on singing and playing. Many extra thanx to the Dave Palmers and family.
THE TUNA TOUR HAS COME TO AN END! Though it's sad to say, we've come to the end of our 6 week tour with Jorma and Jack. We met some amazing people, saw some wonderful sights and learned many a lesson from these road warriors. Many thanx to the entire Tuna crew and family for welcoming us so warmly and making us feel right at home. Where it's always sad to see a tour end...it's very nice not to be sleeping on the bus!
THE FIRST LEG OF THE HOT TUNA/BOX SET TOUR IS OVER!! Thanx to Jorma, Jack ,Barry, Vanessa, Kathy, Mike and Paulie for the wonderful hospitality and kinship. The shows were wonderful with the best show nod going to the terrific fans in Boulder CO. Jackson Hole found the temp. at -5 below zero..too cold for this California boy. We had a blast and are looking forward to getting back on the bus for legs #2 and #3 in warmer climates. Until then, it's relaxing at home with 10 days of dirty laundry!!
